In 2020, father-daughter team, Dave Miller and Rebecca DuMaine, recorded two albums which were released in 2021: Someday, Someday (vocal jazz) and The Mask-erade is Over (instrumental). Due to Covid, they have waited for an official release party gig and the new home of the Sound Room provides the perfect setting to celebrate their music!
Rebecca and Dave have been professional music partners for over a decade now and have played all over the Bay Area, in New York City at the Rainbow Room and at Ellis Island and have between them over twelve recordings on the Summit Records label.
“Someday, Someday and Rebecca’s vocals display an economy, intelligence, warmth and energy that make the recording an entertaining and welcome respite from the madness the world has to offer at the moment.” bistroawards.com
“Dave Miller combines disciplined, fleet-fingered linear techniques with a lush, almost orchestral sound...his latest album is a joyful romp through a program of standards including several classic bebop tunes (and) American standbys.” Rick Anderson
“The pairing of vocalist Rebecca DuMaine with the Dave Miller Trio has proven to be a winning combination.” Joe Lang, Jersey Jazz
Join us for two sets of selections from their latest recordings which include French and American standards, bossa nova, bebop, modern fare and some original compositions.
