Mistura Fina comprises some of the finest jazz musicians from the San Francisco Bay Bay Area. With a strong influence of Brazilian and Afro-Cuban rhythms, a traditional West Coast Latin jazz sound lies at the core of the ensemble. Guitarist and composer Ray Obiedo formed this group in 2010 to further explore his passion for Latin music. His compositions for the group draw inspiration from a variety of musical influences, including contemporary jazz, funk, Caribbean styles, and other genres. The rhythm section features some of Obiedo's main collaborators over the years: vocalist Sandy Cressman, trombonist Jeff Cressman, pianist Murray Low, bassist Dan Feiszli, percussionist Michael Spiro, and drummer Phil Hawkins.

Mistura Fina showcases a wonderfully rich array of textures and colors, skillfully merging all its musical elements to create a delightfully distinct Bay Area sound.
