Ian Scarfe Streaming from the Sound Room

Pianist Ian Scarfe brings his casual and intimate style of presenting classical music to The Sound Room's live-stream stage.

Scarfe will present and perform classical works including Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Sonata in F Major, K. 332, a work that shows both Mozart's characteristic elegance and lyricism alongside daring dramatic departures and moments of sadness and longing. Also on the program will be works of Frederic Chopin, including his "Bolero, Op. 19" and his epic impressionist masterpiece, the "Barcarolle, Op. 60". Lovers of jazz will enjoy a nod from American composers George Gershwin and Samuel Barber, who were both successful at synthesizing various American folks styles in their compositions.
