Musician, drummer, composer, and teacher, Edu Ribeiro has 5 Grammy Awards as composer,producer, and instrumentalist. His 2019 album, “Folia de T'reis - Edu Ribeiro invites Toninho Ferragutti and Fábio Peron”, was also nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Instrumental Music Album. He has released over 15 albums both as leader and collaborator in various formations. His latest personal work is the creation of the Edu Ribeiro Trio, which began in January 2022 and has already been receiving critical acclaim.
São Paulo born and New York based guitarist/composer, Vinicius Gomes explores the dialogue between modern jazz and Brazilian music. Vinicius haso performed with artists such as Ambrose Akinmusire, Billy Childs, Dave Liebman, Wolfgang Muthspiel, Guillermo Klein, Julian Lage, Norma Winstone, John Hollenbeck, Jim Black and many others. With the Focus Year Band Vinicius won the 2019 Keep An Eye Award in Amsterdam. He has been performing extensively in Europe, Latin America and the U.S.
Bass player and composer Noah Garabedian has performed and toured with numerous artists including Ravi Coltrane, Jeff “Tain” Watts, Andy Milne, and Kris Davis. Noah is a 2022 Calouste Gulbenkian In View Grant recipient; 2021 Fellow for Creative Armenia/AGBU; 2022 and 2016 Fulbright Specialist Grant recipient; 2011 ISB Double Bass Competition finalist; 2007 finalist for the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz graduate program; 2006 John Coltrane National Scholarship recipient. Additionally he is a two-time Arts Envoy Grant recipient with the US State Department where he performed and taught throughout Asia and the Middle East. As a composer and bandleader Noah released his latest quartet album, “Consider The Stars Beneath Us,” in October 2022, on Outside In Music. He is also a part of the collective trio, Ember.
