Bassist Isaac Coyle hails from El Cerrito CA. He began his musical studies on the guitar at age 7, but began to focus on the upright bass in high school while studying with Howard Wiley and Jeff Chambers. He graduated from El Cerrito High School in 2019 and currently attends the Berklee College of Music in Boston.
Luis Peralta is a 20-year-old pianist from Oakland, California. He began playing piano at seven, embarking quickly on a serious study of European Classical and American Classical Music (Jazz). In 2017 he performed Alex Conde’s Concierto Para Piano Flamenco y Orquesta as a soloist with the Oakland Youth Orchestra. In 2019, Luis was awarded a full scholarship to study piano at the New School. He has studied with and performed with Bay Area figures such as Howard Wiley and Marcus Shelby. Currently, he studies with pianists Sullivan Fortner and John McCarthy.
Genius Wesley has been hailed as a prodigy jazz drummer and percussionist. At age 20, he performs regularly and coaches youth players with the late Khalil Shaheed’s Oaktown Jazz Workshops and the Young Musicians Choral Orchestra. He resides in North Oakland, in a home his family has owned for generations.
